Paul Lancaster – Managing Director
Paul has over 20 years’ experience of surveying, valuation and panel management. This includes 13 years within the surveying division of a major mortgage lender processing over 270,000 residential and commercial valuations annually.
With a background in construction, IT, Finance and Project Management, Paul joined Valunation in 2005 and he is now responsible for client account management, finance and operational excellence.
Did you know?
Paul once used a jet ski to travel across the English Channel for lunch in Calais. However, the French marine police had other ideas and refused him permission to land!

Simon Davies – Technical Director
Simon Davies qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1986 and, with a fellow surveyor, set up practice in Swansea as Davies & Wilcox. Through various mergers, the firm became a mixed residential and commercial surveying practice operating throughout South Wales.
Having joined Spicerhaart in 2005, he became Technical Director in 2010. Simon oversees the training and development of Valunation’s surveyors, and performs an audit and risk management function.
Did you know?
Simon is Swansea City’s number one fan. He lost his voice for two days after the team won the 2013 Capital One Cup at Wembley. He may well lose his voice again as Wales progress through the Euro 2016 championships!

David Atter – Director of Survey Operations
After qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in the early 1980s, David joined a multi-discipline firm of surveyors and estate agents in Kent – initially as a Surveyor and then as a Partner.
He later became an Area Director for Nationwide Surveyors and then a Regional Director at Countrywide Surveyors, responsible for over 150 surveyors. David joined Valunation in 2011 as Regional Manager for South East and South West England.
Did you know?
An F1 enthusiast, David was involved in the design work for the Brands Hatch track. One day, he used the excuse of inspecting various works to race around the track – until his car broke down. The race organisers asked him to leave and never invited him back!
